In 1975, Sunset Models imported these models built by Samhongsa in Korea. The box has minimal shelf wear and comes with spare parts. It was recently serviced, with a new drive tube installed and the gearbox thoroughly cleaned. Originally 2-8-0 locomotives, Santa Fe removed the lead truck to create 0-8-0s for heavy switching.

Using this locomotive is quite straightforward. It operates on an analog DC system, so just connect it to a compatible power source and you're good to go. When it comes to handling, be gentle as these models are fragile, especially the brass parts. For maintenance, keep an eye on the wheel wear. Although it currently has minimal wear, over time, you may need to check and clean the wheels regularly. The gearbox was recently cleaned, but if you notice any increase in noise, it might be time for another clean - up. Store it in the original box and foam when not in use to protect it from dust and damage. And remember, if you're shipping it back for any reason, follow the packing instructions carefully to avoid any breakage.
