Using this model is easy. Since it's an analog DC - only model, just connect it to a suitable DC power source. You'll notice it runs well, but there's a moderate motor/gearbox noise.
When handling, be careful as it's a fragile brass model. The locomotive has a cast coupler on the pilot, and the tender has no coupler.
For maintenance, keep an eye on the wheel wear, which is currently minimal. Since it had a new drive tube installed and a gearbox clean - out recently, it should be in good shape. However, every now and then, you can check the small solder repairs on the fireman's side injector under the cab.
Store it in the provided replacement box and foam to protect it from damage. If you need to ship it, follow the shipping guidelines mentioned in the product description. And if you're not satisfied with your purchase, don't worry, you can return it within 30 days with our no - questions - asked policy.
