Using your new ALCO model train is a breeze. First, make sure you have an appropriate analog DC power source. Connect the train to the power source and switch it on. You'll notice that it runs well, though there may be a moderate motor/gearbox noise. Since it has Kadee couplers on both the front and rear, it's easy to attach other train cars.
When handling the train, be gentle as it's a fragile and hard - to - find item. Avoid dropping it or applying excessive force. The model is heavily weathered, so try not to rub against the painted surface too hard to keep the weathered look intact.
For maintenance, regularly check the wheels for any signs of wear, although currently, there's almost none. You can use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the train. If you want to clean the interior, be very careful not to damage any components. Store the train in its original box with the replacement foam to protect it when not in use. And remember, if you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can get a refund within 30 days, just contact us!
